Passing bays every 300 metres along the cycle path

The Cycling Friends Association proposes building passing bays at regular intervals of 300 metres along the entire Nonantola - Navicello bridge cycle route.
Proposed technical features
Each bay should be 8-10 metres long and widen the path by at least 1.2 metres, enough for two cargo bikes, or a cargo bike and a child trailer, to pass safely.
Materials and impact
We suggest permeable paving matching the existing surface, to preserve soil permeability, with clear signage and road markings.
Why it is needed
The current width makes passing difficult, and in places dangerous, for two bulky vehicles. This particularly affects families taking children to school, tradespeople and bike couriers, and anyone carrying shopping.
